狂犬病呈現蔓延趨勢，台中、台南與高雄首次驗出鼬獾染病。台北市日前也發現鼬貛屍體，還好檢驗結果是陰性。為了防堵疫情，台北市環保局已加強滅鼠行動。
據農委會防檢局資訊，目前已累計11例鼬獾確診感染狂犬病，台中、台南、高雄都已淪陷。台北市文山區政大里的山區，26日上午有民眾發現鼬獾屍體，動保處人員前往處理，轉送至農委會檢驗，結果呈現陰性，並未感染狂犬病。
由於台東出現首例錢鼠疑似感染狂犬病個案，雖然老鼠並非錢鼠，但有可能增加狂犬病毒互相感染的機會，所以台北市環保局加強重點區域投藥滅鼠及環境潔工作，並稽查環境衛生及水溝清理，同時提出居家防鼠「三不政策」供民眾配合參考。
環保局說明，老鼠常被稱為宿主，病原體可經由鼠咬、鼠尿或鼠糞而傳播疾病，亦可藉由其體外寄生蟲，鼠蚤、鼠蟎，間接引起疾病。老鼠繁殖能力驚人，每年可生育4至7次，每次生8至12隻，因此，要能有效防治須三管齊下，持續執行始能見效：
一、不讓鼠來：封住居家周圍可能的老鼠洞及相關空隙，以防止老鼠進入屋內。建議門窗裝上孔徑不超過1公分的金屬紗網。 (接下一頁)
