極地超級馬拉松健將林義傑經過近40天大戈壁嚴酷環境的考驗，成功完成全程2400公里徒步橫越大戈壁旅程，成為史上首位以跑步方式、在最短時間內徒步穿越世界三大缺水區域（撒哈拉沙漠、絲路與大戈壁）的跑者；台達電8日發表贊助拍攝的穿越大戈壁紀錄片預告，讓大眾了解大戈壁水資源問題與極端氣候的考驗，呼籲全球珍惜水資源，另外，林義傑的大戈壁冒險故事將被製作成高畫質紀錄片並參加國際影展。
林義傑6月23日從蒙古國貝爾湖（BEI′ER LAKE）出發展開徒步橫越大戈壁的旅程，出發的時間正是蒙古沙漠地區氣候最不穩定的時節，他在返台後8日首度公開分享大戈壁的震撼體驗。
林義傑表示，還沒起跑前，所耳聞的戈壁是個缺水的世界，但起跑後才知道戈壁沙漠下是有水的，但因為工業污染加上人畜共用水源，造成即使有水，居民飲用的卻是有問題的水。

他說，蒙古國絕大多數人口是以部落型態組成，從這個蒙古包到下一個蒙古包，可能間隔40里路，連一般資源取得都非常困難了，被汙染的水源更引發醫療資源不足的問題。 (接下一頁)
