晚間看中天頻道的新聞龍捲風時，主持人跟來賓談到現在太平洋上中途島的垃圾山問題。 (許多塑膠垃圾導致該島的動物鳥群吃了以後暴斃死亡) 節目中說到，那個島嶼地點距離美國阿拉斯加有兩千多英哩，離俄羅斯阿留申群島也有三千多英里。我的疑問時，它的附近並沒有直接相連接大陸的陸地，最近的國家美國/俄羅斯，甚至再過去的日本/韓國，都不是科技落後或是人類發展指數(Human Development Index)低落的地區。也就是焚化爐或垃圾場至少都已經是普遍的國家了。那中途島那些大量的塑膠垃圾，來源是從哪裡來的? 南亞的印度有可能是製造大量垃圾髒亂又沒焚化爐處理的區域， [懷疑印度的原因是(1)它的人口世界第二多(2)它與東亞的HDI指數相對偏低 (3)該國境內最大河流--恆河，已經被媒體多次報導過環境的髒亂。許多印度當地人民大小便在恆河解決已經是常態的現象] 但是印度那邊的洋流，從恆河流域被排放到海水的垃圾，有可能隨著親潮/黑潮，被一路拖往東亞與北美洲大陸的大平洋交界處嗎? -- ※ 發信站: 批踢踢實業坊(ptt.cc) ◆ From: 61.58.135.110
